In 2000, Christopher received a BFA in Furniture Design at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design before operated his own business for 15 years; creating custom furniture, lighting, and ornamental metalwork for churches and private clients. As a sole proprietor, Chris was responsible for all concept development, client presentations, renderings, work-samples, fabrication, finishing, patina, and installation of each commission.
In 2016, he began a MFA program at the School of Visual Arts in New York City. "The Products of Design program broadened my definition of a 'product' from a physical object to a value proposition that may take form as an app, advertising campaign, or an interactive experience. Beyond aesthetics and utility, these new methodologies and services help to affect a wider range of people in broader contexts," says Christopher.
Currently living in New York, he enjoys cycling the streets of the city and the trails of the northeastern coastal forests.
